THE UNFATHOMOMABLE DEEP FORREST- Edward Thomas
Tree-veined thought, leaf-wrought wonder,
deep, cool roots, dream
the earth in slumber.
Gods conjure us in passing,
shadows on their eyelids.
Brief as clouds in the skies.
I shall step soundless with respect,
blessed by magpies.
There you go. This is the title poem from my second collection, published in 2011, there are second hand copies about.
Here's The Beatles with The Two of Us.
Until next time.
